Tom Corbin was selected by Truman Library Institute in 2018 to produce a monumental bronze sculpture of President Harry Truman for the Statuary Hall Collection at the U.S. Capitol. Please enjoy this video produced by the Truman Library Institute showing the current status of this exciting project.
75 years after ascending to the presidency, Harry Truman is headed back to Washington.
For nearly two decades, Missouri leaders have sought to secure a place for Truman – consistently ranked among our nation’s greatest leaders – in the National Statuary Hall Collection. Today, the dream is nearly a reality. Funding is being secured, final touches are being made to the 7½-foot sculpture, and the finished monument is expected to be unveiled in the U.S. Capitol in Spring 2022.
