Tom Corbin is the Kansas City sculptor behind the Roo statue recently unveiled on the University of Missouri – Kansas City campus.
In addition to that kangaroo, Corbin just finished work on a bronze life-size statue of President Harry S. Truman that will eventually find its home in Washington, D.C. The artist, whose work have been collected by celebrities like Tom Hanks and Frank Sinatra, discusses his artistic origin story and how he branched out from sculpture to also create furniture, lighting and home accessories.
